Hospitality Design at Four Seasons Los Cabos
Four Seasons Resort Los Cabos at Costa Palmas is a gorgeous retreat with a turquoise sea and endless beaches contrasted by desert and mountains. Square Peg Design was retained by Irongate to develop a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program for this Four Seasons marina resort.
We took inspiration from the natural surroundings and contemporary architecture to create a lasting, timeless design that aims to seamlessly direct visitors around the resort oasis.
Looking Back: 25 Years of SQPEG
Hitting the Ground Running in 1998
A signature and pivotal project for Square Peg, in the early formative years of the firm, was the Singapore Turf Club. In the Late 1990’s, the Turf Club made the decision to move from its historical location in Bukit Timah, its home since 1933, to a state of the art facility at Kranji in 1999. To this day, it is the only authorized operator of horse racing in Singapore.
Square Peg was hired to develop a multi-layer graphic and signage program that included identity, wayfinding, placemaking, and sponsorship. Upon arriving at the venue, the prominent, layered horses racing across the entry sign elicits the energy and excitement harnessed within the race grounds. Inspiration from classic racing stripes and checkered flags can be found throughout the venue, from the ticket counter to the horse racing scoreboard.
The Singapore Turf Club is historically one of our most memorable projects as we reflect back on 25 years of Square Peg Design.
